Tip
: Not all charging stations have the same connection options. It is important to know what connections your car has and make sure that the charging station supports these connections.

• Each house is connected to the low-voltage distribution network in the street. This can be in two ways: via a single-phase or three-phase connection.
  • What is the difference?
    • 
      Single-phase connection or single-phase:
      Is the standard option for homes. The connection consists of two copper wires with an AC voltage of 230V and offers a maximum power of 9.2kVa. This is sufficient for most homes.
    • 
      Three-phase connection:
      for those who need more power can opt for a three-phase connection. We distinguish two types here:
      • Three-phase 3x230V – This multi-phase connection has three copper wires with an AC voltage of 230V. The maximum power is √3x230V xA.
      • Three-phase 3x400V+N – This connection has four copper wires: three phase change wires plus a neutral conductor. There is a 230V AC voltage between each wire and 400V voltage between each pair of phase change wires. The maximum power rating is 3x230V xA.
  • What is the charging capacity of my charging station?
    • With a single-phase connection, the maximum load capacity is 7.4kW. With this charging capacity, a 60kWh battery is charged in about 8 hours.
    • With a three-phase connection, the maximum load capacity is 22kW. In this process, a 60kWh battery with this charging capacity is charged in about 3 hours.
    • Note! Not all cars allow this high charging speed. Therefore, carefully check the maximum load capacity of your vehicle at the time of purchase.
